Puppies sold on Kijiji had Parvo
#1
Some people in Ontario bought golden retriever pups through Kijiji. In a sort time the pups became quite ill. One died of Parvo, a highly infectious disease that the puppy had before they bought him.  Fortunately the other puppy survived even though he had Parvo too.
The situation was probably a puppy mill. The mother of the dog was not with the puppies and she should have been. The health certificate was probably fake. It couldn't be verified.

People right now want pets. In particular they want dogs. They turn to Kijiji and see an ad that is too good to be true. Sadly it is too good to be true. The perfect little golden retriever pups were sick with Parvo and the so called breeder is gone.  In some cases there is no puppy and people send a deposit sight unseen and they never get the money back.

A friend of mine saw a dog on Kijiji, 7 years old and a good price. If they came for the dog right away it was theirs. They got the dog alright and for a few days the dog seemed  okay. Then it became obvious that the dog was way older than 7 years.  They tried contacting the people who sold the dog, but they were gone.
Sadly, Wags was a very old dog and he died of old age within a month. The owners got rid of their dying dog so they didn't have to deal with him and they made some money out of it.  Yes we gave Wags the best last days of his life, but it was another Kijiji money making scam.

Be very careful if you buy a pet from Kijiji. So many of the ads are fake or they are scams.  Especially be wary of anything that seems too good to be true. It is too good to be true.  Ask questions and verify things before you spend money. Be sure that the pet is healthy and is what the seller says it is.
Too many  people are getting hurt and too many animals. If they couldn't sell on Kijiji,  puppy mills would have trouble staying in business.
Even if you really want a puppy, be careful where you shop.
