Lost bulldog comes home by train

During a lunch break, 8 year old bulldog, Sampson wandered off. His distraught owner just couldn't find him. A little while later a Long Island engineer was slowly moving his train when he noticed Sampson on the tracks. With the help of his conductor they were able to bring Sampson onto the train. From the pictures I would say he made himself very comfortable. In spite of the rescue, the train was still on time. Using Facebook, they were able to alert the owner that Sampson had been found. When the train returned to the station Sampson was reunited with his owner, after posing for pictures with the train crew.

That was really good of the train crew to stop and rescue the dog. Who knows what might have happened if they hadn't done that. Sampson looks like he had a great adventure. He got to ride in style on a train all afternoon.
Once again social media serves to reconnect a lost pet with his people.
Everyone did their part and Sampson is home safe again. He does look like he loves train travel though.
