When Rob White saw a dog in trouble on the river, he didn't hesitate. He ran out on the ice to try and save the dog. Sadly he fell through the ice and disappeared.
He is presumed dead. The North Saskatchewan river is dangerous.
His neighbours remember him as a special person. They are lining his street with candles in his memory.

It is a sad loss for everyone. It shows what Rob was like that he lost his life trying to save someone else's dog. It was brave and it was caring.
