This is a bit of a history of Earth Day, in case you are not familiar.

Sadly Earth Day was born from an ecological disaster, an oil spill.
Now the big issue is climate change. (not unrelated to oil spills)

It is a day of reflection and a day of action. However you celebrate Earth Day and whatever contributions you can make, they are all part of us honoring the Earth
and recognizing that we need to care for our planet. One day is not enough. We have 365 days until next Earth Day. Since the theme is Restore Our Earth it would be good to find ongoing projects that are part of the restoration. I can't plant any trees right now, it is still snowing, but I am sure I can plant something before next year. This would be a good year to reduce plastic use. I am sure I can reduce water use too. Whatever you can do, it will help.
