That is a very long list of charities and their animal testing status. It is very useful information. I stopped donating to one of those groups a while ago and now I am very glad I did. I never suspected their involvement in animal testing because it would make no sense for them to be doing animal testing.
Clearly we need to research our charitable donations very carefully.
When I look at the list I confused as to why some groups would do animal research. It could in no way help them with their cause.
Anything that would require a subjective answer from an animal would have data that is not useful. Animal testing is expensive and give us a false sense of safety.
We know how well that has worked in the past.
I know that animal testing will eventually be phased out. I just don't understand why some groups are still clinging to it. They would get better results if they moved ahead with modern cruelty free methods.
The work of groups like PETA and Animal Free Research will eventually prevail. If we make choices about who we support we can help this happen sooner.
