Rescuers have been trying since March 8 to catch a fox.

There is a fox holed up under a pier in the old port of Montreal. Because of the ice the fox is able to hunt and do okay, but when the ice melts he will be in danger. They have tried everything to catch him, but no success. Foxes are clever and they are  wily. So far he has not fallen for the tricks that would have captured a less clever animal. They are running out of ideas and still they can't catch him.

There is a reason why we use the phrase clever as a fox. This fox is a bit too clever. He is eluding the people who want to help him.
Good for them that they keep trying. I hope this ends well.
