Bumble Bees being studied were seen to play with tiny balls, just for fun. They seem to like rolling them around.
This behavior had no other benefit than providing amusement.

Play is something that we have observed in some animals like dogs and dolphins. As we expand our observations who know what we will find.
I know I am going to be watching my garden Bumble Bees a lot more closely from now on. Maybe they do things I never noticed.
