Alligator found in New York City Lake!

I grew up hearing stories of alligators roaming the New York sewer system. It is one of the most persistent urban legends.
Now after all these years they have actually found an alligator in New York City. It was in a lake, not the sewers, but that won't stop the legend from gaining life again.
This alligator was probably a released pet. The cold weather has not been good for him and he is under care for cold shock.

The alligator could make a good recovery. The urban legend will make a great recovery.
People will be seeing alligators everywhere. They will certainly be rumors of alligators in the sewers.

I hope this alligator is able to go on and live out a good life, preferably in a much warmer climate.
