Tourist interference results in death of baby Bison

Yellowstone National Park has healthy hear of Bison. A newborn calf was a little behind the herd when they were moving. A tourist decided to pick up the calf and "help" it. Unfortunately the so called help resulted in the herd rejecting the baby. The rangers tried to reunite the baby with its mother, but they were unable to do this. Sadly the baby ended up being euthanized.

This is so like the incident in 2016. The baby died then when people put it in their vehicle.
They tell people to leave baby animals alone, but they don't seem to listen.
Well intentioned people have caused the deaths of many newborn animals.
What will it take for people to leave baby animals alone.
