Hundreds of sea turtles released in Nicaragua

In a conservation effort to save endangered sea turtles, Nicaragua has released 400 baby sea turtles into the Pacific ocean.
The baby Paslama turtles were released at the Rio Escalante Chacocente wildlife reserve.

Nicaragua has some major turtle nesting sites. Thousands of turtles lay their eggs every year.

Conservation efforts are being made to protect the turtles and their nests.
Sadly humans are one of the greatest threats. 
That makes this turtle release very important.  Humans are making the effort to repair the damage we have done.
