Poor Arzy was a friendly labrador. His caretaker was arrested by a policeman, who then shot the dog through the head and had difficulty hiding his smile afterwards. He has since resigned from the police, following an internal investigation, and has now been charged. There will be a pre-trial conference in December. The American police seem to be very trigger happy these days.....He has pleaded not guilty, so does not seem to even acknowledge that shooting a perfectly friendly dog (which was wagging its tail) is an offence. He claims that the dog bit him in the foot, but there are eye witnesses who have testified that this did not happen. I know whom to believe and not believe.....
