This is a beautiful story even if it is a sad one. Miguel Rojas, a Marlins player, just lost his old dog to cancer.
He still showed up to play a game. When he hit a home run, he dedicated it to his dog, Almudena.
I don't even watch baseball and I think it is sweet.

I think it is beautiful that people can openly admit how much their pets mean to them and how deeply they are effected by the loss. Miguel's public admission of grief will help others suffering pet loss. It is also fitting to find a way to honour a best friend who has had to leave us. Hitting a home run does make a bit of a statement.
