Hi Everybody

I was on the old forum. I'm Ros Lamb from the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund.

I live in north east England and my two rabbits are Nutmeg who's 10 and Betty who's 6. Both are adopted from local rescues. Nutmeg's on the left in this photo

Yes, it is an advantage, harder to see shed hair. Smiley4

Nutmeg is quite a cuddly boy and very laid back about most things. At his age, he is arthritic and so gets Metacam every day...he runs off with the syringe, he loves it so much.

Betty came from a very abusive background before being seized by the RSPCA. They had her for several months before I adopted her, and so by then she at least had had enough to eat (previously starved and clearly very badly handled). It's taken 4 years of lots of patience to get to the stage where she'll come to me and nosebonk my leg to demand her scratches. She's great with Nutmeg and generally okay with me, but with strangers she is still very nervous. Hard still for me to handle too, but far, far better than when I first adopted her.

Welcome back. We are gradually bringing the old animal lovers family back together.

Your rabbits are beautiful. I love that they have a history. Nutmeg is amazing. He does not look like an old rabbit. I am glad he is doing well.
Betty is sweet. I am glad you have been able to help her and give her a new faith in human kindness. How sad that she was so hurt that it took years to make progress with her. I hope she continues to grow in her trust. That would be so wonderful.

Rescue pets are always special.Heart

Nutmeg is a fine handsome boy. I just want to snuggle him every time I look at the picture.

You should post something about the rabbit rescue in the Charities and Rescue section. It is something new we had just started when the Forum went down. I think the best way to stop the posts that ask for money under suspicious circumstances, is to have a place for legitimate Rescues and Charities. We would all love to hear about the
Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund.90

Smiley26 Ooops, I forgot to "welcome" you back to the new and improved Animal Lovers Web, in my earlier post. 43

Catherine's suggestion is a very good one. You should post the RWAF in the "Charities and Rescues" section, so more people can learn about your cause.

Hi there, RWAF!! It's awesome that you're back. Smile

Bunnnnnies! ♥ They're beautiful. It's always wonderful to see animals who are healthy and in a good environment, especially after having had such a rough life.

I love your new signature.

Bunnies are so appealing. Something about holding a bunny just makes you feel good. I wonder, do they feel as good about it. Undecided
