In 2014 Two Giant Pandas came to Canada on loan from China. In the five years they were at Toronto Zoo they produced two cubs. In 2018 the pandas and their cubs went to the Calgary Zoo. The cubs were sent to China early in 2020. The two adults were supposed to spend more years in Calgary, but because of the Pandemic the zoo has had difficulties obtaining the bamboo they need for food. In the end the only solution was to send the pandas back to China where they can be properly cared for.

I am sorry the Pandas had to cut short their visit to Canada. They were so cute. I am relieved that they will be safely back in China where their food source is secure. It was the responsible thing to do.
