Britain's only free roaming bison herd doubles in size
#1
A small herd of Bison live near Canterbury, Kent. They are part of a rewilding project that has had a tremendous effect on the countryside. Life is thriving, species are reappearing. The Bison started out as  a herd of three females. A male joined them and not they have two bison calves.

It seems that restoring the large animals like the bison has a tremendous effect on an ecosystem. It actually does rewild an area.
Nature does heal. These are ancient Steppe Bison that once roamed Britain. Bringing them back is bringing back Britain to a healthier state.
Hopefully the herd will increase and new herds will be established in other areas.

This is an exciting time. We are seeing conservation efforts actually transforming things. After years of damage, we are seeing healing take place.
