Rare white Orca spotted off of California
#1
A three year old white Orca calf was spotted off of California. They have named the calf, Frosty because of how pale it is. It is white because it has Leucism, rather than being albino. It has some pigments, but not much. Frosty was in the company of six other young Orcas, all of them normal colored. Leucism is rare.

It is special to actually see an Orca or any other species with Leucism. It is rare. I hope the young Orca thrives.
He certainly has the help of his Orca friends. He is also very much accepted by them even if he is different.
There is a lesson there for us. Are we as smart as a group of whales.
