The age old question, are you a dog person or a cat person. Some people do have preferences. A good case can be made for preferring one or the other.
After examining the issue, the conclusion should be not which do you prefer, but which do you dislike the most.

I guess that is one way of looking at it.
People do seem pretty divided on the subject.
My thought is, why do we need to have favorites?
I like cats for being cats and dogs for being dogs.
Those odd cats that were raised by dogs and dogs that were raised by cats are pretty loveable too.
