100 year old sturgeon found in the Frasier river

River Monster Adventures catches, tags and releases fish. In particular they catch sturgeon. Sturgeon can live 150 years and grow to 6 meters in length.
The fish they  caught has been seen before. He is known as Ghost. He is probably 120 years old and is 3 meters long.

Ghost is one giant fish. Can you imagine seeing him up close.
Ghost was hatched out before the first world war. That is a lot of years to be alive.

Sturgeon in general are an interesting fish. They are ancient and live long. Yes they are impacted by human activity, but they have survived.
Who knows how much longer Ghost will live. Now that he is tagged maybe we will find out.
