Divorce: Who gets the pets?
#1
This is a big scary issue for people and their pets. Pets are still seen as property under the law in most cases. That is changing as animals gain rights. It doesn't make it easier to determine who gets the pets.

It is tough enough trying to sort out the best solution for the children of divorcing parents. How do you decide what is best for the pets, especially if both parties want them.

This is going to take work to sort out. Hopefully more and more judges will look into the matter and make decisions that really are in the best interest of the pets.

Does anyone intend to ask the pets what they want?
