Toronto Wildlife Centre is struggling with what they are calling Grebe-mageddon.
It is so intensely cold that the lakes are freezing. Grebes need open water. They never go on land and if the end up on the ground they cannot take off.
Last year it was the bats and other wildfowl, this year it is the grebes and a lot of other wildfowl.

Toronto Wildlife is a great place that does its best to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in the area. They do a lot with a little and somehow they save lives and when ever possible they return them to the wild.
