Another Orca calf!
#1
The southern Orca population is very endangered. So it is with great joy it was noted that two calves were born this year.
Now it seems there has been a third birth.

With a population that small it is almost a population explosion. Seriously though, the birth of three calves is enough to give hope that this Orca population might make it. I sure hope so.

This is very good news, and suggests that something must be right for the Orcas. Let's hope the little ones do well.

I think there is a lot of effort to protect these Orcas. Maybe our help is making them safer so that they can have calves. I hope they all survive. It would make a big difference to that population.

Maybe it helps that we protect them from hunting and capture in some areas. If we could show the same concern for the whole ocean(s) it would help the whole planet.
