Cat travels cross country in a U-Haul

Once again cats show their restless side. Kevin the cat climbed into a U-Haul trailer in South Carolina on the east coast and was not discovered until it reached California.
Fortunately Kevin was micro chipped and his owner was notified.

Now they just have to get Kevin home and all will be back to normal.

What is it about cats and travelling? They seem to do it a lot. They turn up thousands of miles from home. Sometimes they are gone for years. Don't you wish they could at least tell us what they have been up to.

Cats can sometimes be a bit silly about the places they choose to have a nap. If it's warm and something soft to lie on, they don't always think "Uh-oh....I'm in a U-Haul truck!"

But even more scary, some cats take naps inside engines, and that can lead to a worse fate.

It does make you wonder about what has happened to so many 'missing cats'.

I did hear of a cat that was micro chipped who turned up ten years later and thousands of miles away.

They do pick odd places to sleep and sometimes not safe places.

The oddest thing is the lost cats who walk home from hundreds of miles away. There is no doubt, cats are mysterious.
