Problems travelling with pets.

The article I found highlights the problems that people face when they travel with their pets.
Airlines are often careless with their live cargo. When you think how much they paid to transport the cat the airline should have been much more careful.

They still don't have their cat back and they may never see him again. Who knows where he was lost.

I am sure some airlines are better and more careful, but over the years there have been many horror stories. The saddest was one from over forty years ago. I no longer remember the details, but the cargo hold depressurized and two animals were deprived of heat and oxygen.
One died and the other had to be euthanized as the brain damage was so severe. This article tells me that things are not really any better after all this time. I would hate to have to transport a pet by air. It is expensive and there are way to many accidents.
