Chernobyl Fox makes sandwich
#1
Seriously, I am not making this up.
Watch the video.
The fox makes a sandwich and then runs off with it.

He is a pretty healthy looking fox when you think of where he lives.

Haha! That is a real "door-step" of a sandwich too! (as it's called in parts of UK)

But I wonder if the fox's intentions might rather have been to get ALL the food into its mouth in one go to carry away, so it wouldn't have to go back...?

Probably you are right, but the sandwich was invented somewhat for that reason. It made food portable.

I have never heard the term "door-step" of a sandwich. I assume that it means what it sounds like it means. I get a visual image of a stacked sandwich.
He certainly looked pleased with himself as he ran away.

"Door-step" might be a northern English expression. I remember my Dad used to call a very stacked sandwich a "door step" -so did my grandad.

Yes it makes food easily portable. And the fox sussed that out!

Foxes are smart that way.

Door-step is a very visual description. Some local expressions are really interesting. I can picture the sandwich from the saying.
