The Great Escape? Or the Fuzz leading the Fuzzy?
#1
A duck laid her eggs on the roof of the Vancouver police headquarters. Once they were hatched she had no way to get them down. She was spotted trying and the police with the help of a wildlife rescue volunteer were able to gather up the ducklings and carry them down. Once they were down, the duck followed and she was led to a nearby creek. The family was reunited and all it well.

It seems this was not their first duck encounter. There is a short video of the police escorting fifty ducks down the highway.

Quackers! Big Grin LOL!

It's great that the police dept went to such trouble to relocate the mother and ducklings. Good for them!

There is something about baby ducks. We all want to help them. I think they are used to that in Vancouver. There are a lot of ducks because of the rivers and the ocean. Ducks find the funniest places to build there nests.

There is a duck who nests in a pond inside an enclosed courtyard at the symphony hall in down town Toronto. I have seen her and oddly it is a good choice. The babies are safe and sheltered and they get fed.

The roof of a police station was no so crazy when you think about it. They did get a police escort to the nearby pond....for free.Smiley4
