Tennesse law protects dogs in cars
#1
Tennessee has taken the positive step of making it legal to rescue a dog from a hot car. They allow people to break in if necessary.

This is a very important precedent in the law. Sometimes even if police help is called they just can't get there in time. Seconds can mean life of death for an animal in a hot car. This law acknowledges that fact. If Tennessee can do this, then other places can use them as an example when bystanders have had to break a window to save a dogs life.

This was a great article....but it was about turtles! (not hot doggies!) But it was good to see this protection for the turtles. This need shifting to the reptiles section??

At least I know you are on your toes.
I was also posting about the turtle guy and I must have mixed up what went where.

I can't find the original article, but I think this one is better.

Making it legal to rescue a dog is very important. Every year some dogs die in cars all over the world. Sometimes people are watching, but help arrives too late. Now in one place people can do the right thing without risking arrest.
