The chocolate probably was the right thing. It would make the heart beat faster and it would stimulate the nervous system. I think it also raises the blood pressure a little. That was probably what was needed to counteract the effects of the venom.

I guess you have a strong heart or you would have found out at the time.

You do have an interesting bond with snakes. You have some of the snake injected into your system. You know not to fear them.
But you do still respect them. I have only been bitten by King Snakes. They are the lunatics of the snake world. They will even bite themselves. Baby Shiloh bit me once. He was trying to eat, but missed and got my hand. He was so small that it was hard to get him to let go. He didn't know how. He was so cute.

I could picture you having a peaceful day with a snake or two. They are peaceful creatures.
