Travelling Opposum

A possum from Ontario climbed into a truck and hitched a ride to Calgary. That is a long trip with no food or water. The little guy was a bit worse for wear, but the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation has nursed him back to health.
Now a kind anonymous donor is paying his flight back to Ontario.
The Toronto Wildlife Centre will see to his safe return to the wild.

The real funny thing is that Opossums hitched a ride to end up in Ontario in the first place. Somehow they have adapted to life here.
Maybe this possum was just an advance scout on an opossum invasion of Alberta.

Those opossums are travelling by truck and ending up all kinds of places. We never had possums before in Ontario, but now we see them all over the city.
What is it about possums and trucks?
