Essential Oils toxic for Cats
#1
Many essential oils that we frequently use can be deadly for cats:

These include:
Peppermint, Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, Melaleuca Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Cinnamon Bark Oil, pennyroyal, hyssop, thyme, eucalyptus, tea tree, wormwood, camphor, sage, rosemary and tansy.

Even having the oils on our hands then petting the cat can be dangerous, as they will ingest them when they lick their fur.

That is good information. I knew that cats reacted to some things differently. I just didn't know so many things were toxic to them.
Just because it is herbal doesn't mean it is safe.

I never thought about the burning of essential oil candles as being a problem.
Cats are clearly very sensitive and we need to be very careful about any treatments we use on them.
