Mrs Yang -update
#4
Well....I have not seen one dog on any photograph who looked to be starving.

Yes last year on the No To Dog Meat report, I did see 2 pictures of dead ones, and one with a small dog leashed to a rope, so it could walk about by sliding along the rope, and one with a dead mother with young pups. We were not shown what happened to the pups after the video was filmed. It is highly possible they were taken away and looked after as well as could be done.
I also saw a terrier/terrier mix with a bad skin infection. Those were from the photos taken in August 2015. It is impossible to know how much these particular incidents were focused upon in order to give a deeply negative overview of what was going on in her shelters, or whether those things were regular occurrences.

My own instinct was what it always was; that there were a huge number of dogs housed in crude circumstances (by Western standards). That the standards we have (in the West) for animal care and shelter management, has little to do with the day to day realities in Tianjin.

The way I see it all those dogs looked better -even in the negative photos and videos, and certainly in this new blog by Victoria -than they would have looked boiled alive and served up with lychees.
