Toronto Veggie Pride Parade
#1
Toronto Vegans are becoming outspoken and public in their views.

They marched to declare Vegan Pride and to make people aware of Veganism.
It is a great opportunity to tell people about the Vegan option and explain why people would choose it.

The parade was founded in 2009 and it is getting stronger each year.

People are increasingly open to the idea of Vegan. Even if people don't choose to be vegan they are choosing to eat less meat.
The message is reaching them.

About 4% of Canadians are vegan or vegetarian.
There are actual vegan restaurants and stores. Many places have a vegan option. People are starting to respect the choice.

There is a growing Climate Vegan movement. We are becoming aware of the link between climate change and meat production.

It is exciting to watch the movement grow and see a change in how people think.

Maybe next year I will be there in the parade. I thought about it, but I was too tired so I stayed home and thought about them marching.
