Lizard riding on a dog

This is pretty funny. Why would a lizard ride on a dogs back? Why would the dog seem so calm about it.

That looks like something that could happen at my place, if I had a dog. I certainly have the lizard. (Barrie is similar)

Yes, it is amazing how patient the dog is! I assume he is panting because of the heat rather than because the lizard is heavy. How heavy is Barrie?

How fascinating! But dear Bella doesn't look too happy about it really, and a little bit unsteady on her feet. I doubt that's the lizard causing it. Bella looks over-weight.

Bella does look a little chunky. She probably couldn't have shaken the lizard off if she tried.

The lizard is a beauty and very calm. I understand it was trying to steal an egg from the hen house. That would be a tasty meal for a big lizard like that.
