Exciting dog rescue
#1
There was an exciting and scary time in High Park, Toronto. A dog ran out onto the ice of Grenadier Pond. The ice is not sound this late in the winter and the dog fell in. The water is very cold so the dog was in danger.

A police officer trying to save the dog went through the ice. A firefighter trying to rescue them both also went through the ice.
Fortunately everyone was saved and all is well.

Ice on ponds, rivers and even some lakes is just not thick enough to hold any weight. This time it ended well. Sadly it doesn't always work that way. Especially this time of year it is important to keep dogs off the ice everywhere.
