Three baby bear cubs in a bathroom

A motorist stopped at a roadside bathroom on a highway through the Rocky Mountains. He got quite a surprize. There were three baby bear cubs in the facility. The Park Rangers were called in, but their mother could not be found anywhere. The cubs are being cared for, but the whole thing is a mystery. Cubs that small would not be far from their mother and how did they get into a bathroom? And why?

If something had happened to their mother she would still be nearby and they would have found her.
It is such a weird place to find cubs. Can you imagine how the motorist felt.

I hope they are able to raise the babies and release them when they are old enough. That would be the best outcome. I doubt they will find the mother after all these days.

There is a follow up article to the bear cub story. They were unable to find any sign of the mother of the three little bears.
So they searched for the right sanctuary that could raise and release the cubs. Even though they were found in Banff Alberta, the best sanctuary for them is in Ontario. So the little lost cubs will be raised at the Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Rosseau, Ont., about 200 kilometres north of Toronto

It sounds like a beautiful place.

I am sure the baby black bears will do well there.

I am happy to know they are here in Ontario. We have some beautiful forests where they can roam free and happy.
