This may sound absurd but we’ve for once all have accused our pets of farting… right? Because let’s admit it, smelly farts, bad breath, low energy, bad teeth—these are definitely problems that our pets face. Mostly, it’s just the results of a poor diet—just like us!

I never thought about it, but I guess it is a food issue. Dogs can be particularly smelly, but they don't always eat the best food.
Some dog foods are not very good. People buy them because they are cheap.

So a really smelly dog fart might be a bit of a health warning. It also might be a good reason to take your dog for a walk outside where you can't smell anything.
