Ten gal tanks are something you keep spares of because they are good starter/emergency tanks. If you bring home a new reptile you can put them in a ten until you have the right set up. I have two tens going right now, but the BRB(Brazilian Rainbow Boa) is due to move to a 20 gal. He will end up in a much bigger tank some day.
Ball pythons do fine in 20 gal. As you said, they don't move around much. It is great you can get logs. I am forever looking for tree branches for tanks.
You have three 6ftx2ftx2ft tanks? That is an awesome size. Do you have lids for them? You could do a really nice beardie setup.
A water dragon would do well too. That is more floor space than my biggest tank. You are in a position to take almost any reptile as a rescue. You could house a tortoise or a turtle.
You could get a Columbian Red Tailed Boa. They are a good size as adults and really nice looking.
I am sure rescue reptiles are going to come your way. You have a big enough tank for a Tegu or a monitor.
I can't wait to hear what reptile turns up at your door. Reptiles can live a long time and sometimes people just can't look after them for their whole lives.
