The three smartest animals in your backyard

There are lots of clever animals out there and there are lots of backyard visitors. So which three are the smartest?
I might have guessed 2 of the, but the third surprized me.

After hearing about Koori, I am not surprized that crows are the smartest.
I live in Toronto with its many raccoons and raccoon encounters, so I know how smart they are.
I didn't realize that squirrels are so clever. I know they are perky and funny and generally nice to have around. Now I am going to have to start looking at them differently. They know more than I think they do.

It is fun to have clever visitors to your garden. I just hope the crows, raccoons and squirrels don't start talking to each other. As a team they would be scary smart.
