Wasp trap "accidentally" kills birds

This is horrible. It is not nice to trap wasps on a sticky tap and let them die slowly, but that is what TrapStik does. This trap also  caught 7 Chickadees. They all died after struggling desperately to free themselves. It is a terrible product designed to trap and kill animals slowly.
Some stores are reacting properly and pulling the product off the shelves.

I hope the word gets out and people remove the traps they have out there and not put any more traps up.
Some people would be putting the trap out and not checking it. Who knows what creatures could get caught. It is sad to think of a little creature caught in glue struggling to free itself. I think the whole design of the trap is a danger to many animals.
Surely someone with common sense should have looked at TrapStik and said no this is not a safe product.

Does no agency inspect products and determine if they are safe. Someone should be doing it.
