Wildlife rehabilitators...true hurricane heroes

Stories of amazing behavior will come out of this hurricane season for some time. I just came across an article about some real heroes who worked to help wildlife during and after the hurricanes hit. These wildlife rehabilitators were there for the animals in need no mater how great the danger.

I am amazed at how prepared they were and how much they were able to do even during the worst of the storm.
Many orphaned animals would never have survived with out these people. Certainly the parrots would have been lost. No one could save everything, but they certainly made a big difference.

That baby raccoon is so cute. I hope the little guy is okay.
