Endangered animals threatened by natural disasters
#1
Many endangered species have been effected by a summer of natural disasters. Hurricanes and wildfires have killed animals and destroyed habitats. The few that have survived may not make it because of habitat loss. Food is scarce and shelter is gone. Those that need to prepare for winter have little chance of doing so. There is no food left for them to store. For some species this could be the end.

This is heart breaking. There are a number of species that may not survive this year or at least be so much at risk that they won't survive the next disaster.

Increased wildfires and increasingly severe hurricanes are a result of climate change. We have put these species at risk by using up their habitats. Now we are finishing them off with the effects of climate change that we have caused and refuse to do anything about.

It is sad to think of squirrels that have survive since the ice age being wiped out now by the effects of human activity.
I don't know what  we can do to fix this. We certainly better do something.
