Animal Shelter opens new buildings 10 years after tragic fire
#1
The Jacksonville Florida Humane Society animal shelter was lost to fire ten years ago. Sadly many animals died. The shelter has carried on in temporary buildings, but they have never given up on rebuilding a proper shelter.
Now ten years later they have done it! The are reopening as a modern no kill shelter. They can serve as a model of what a shelter can be like.

You have to admire the generosity of people who donated to the $15 million dollar project.
Even more, we should admire the dedication and commitment of the people who never gave up even though it took ten years to rebuild. Anything is possible if we persevere. Well done and congratulations to the Jacksonville Humane Society for a job well done.
