The man who rescues zoo animals from war zones
#1
Amir Khalil is a remarkable man. He is a veterinarian who has worked for Four Paws for 25 years. He started with a mission to neuter strays in Romania and now he goes into war zones to rescue the zoo animals trapped there.
Many times the war itself kills the animals. Those that survive the bombs and guns have no one left to feed them even if there was any food left.

It is an amazing thing to go into a war zone to try and rescue animals. As Amir said, they can't flee and we brought them there in the first place.

Four Paws does a lot of good work around the world.

So does the Princess Alia Foundation

They run the New Hope Centre where many of the rescue animals find sanctuary.

We hear lots of bad news about human encounters with animals. It is good to know that there are good people doing good things out there.
