Cambodian Authorities raid market and rescue wildlife
#1
A timely raid on a market in Cambodia has saved a number of animals from death. Turtles,  lorises and monitors were among the rescued animals. Further raids saved other turtles and pangolins. Sadly some animals were already dead and a lot of meat was confiscated.

It is wonderful that they were able to release some of the animals back to the wild. Even confiscation of the dead animals and meat does block the animal traffickers from making money. It  won't stop them yet, but the loss of profit might serve to discourage them.
I am glad the Cambodian authorities are on watch. Some of the animals saved, like the Pangolins, are very much endangered and quite vulnerable.
