Annual deer hunt kills 67, 42 females
#1
It seems that the solution they have come up with to control the deer population in the Blue Hills  in Massachusetts is to turn hunter loose on them. They killed 67 deer. No doubt they were the best of the animals in the area. After all they killed 42 females. I may be wrong, but wouldn't those females have been pregnant? So they actually killed many more deer.

A better way and more natural way would be to reintroduce wolves and let them control the deer numbers. They would remove the weak and sick and leave the strong and healthy. They certainly wouldn't have killed that many females.
To kill so many more females they must have been targeting them.

This is not the first year of the hunt nor will it be the last. It is a senseless slaughter that does not really help control the deer population. If it was working they wouldn't have to keep doing it over and over. Why can't we choose more natural solutions that work. Why do we always feel we should kill something.
