Gladys the Gorilla turns one.

I have been following the story of Gladys and the wonderful work being done to raise her as a gorilla. There have been many milestones. Certainly the biggest was when a gorilla female took over her care and she now is fully living with gorillas. Well done by her human surrogates that she was ready when the time came.

And now she is one year old. It seems like just yesterday that Gladys was being airlifted to the Cincinnati Zoo.

I hope you do get to the Cincinnati Zoo. When you see the gorillas, the big male is Jomo. He is from Toronto Zoo and he is Charles' and Josephine's son. We miss him, but he has his own gorilla troop in Cincinnati. He is a beautiful creature and I am sure he is going to be the best father Gladys could ever wish for.

Gladys is so cute.Heart
