International Polar Bear Day
#1
Today is International Polar Bear Day. We need to celebrate this while we still have Polar Bears to celebrate with.
Polar Bears have come to symbolize the effects of climate change. We can see the ice shrinking and understand how that will effect them.

However we celebrate it, today is a good day to reflect on the planet and the challenges we all face. Polar Bears are feeling the impact climate change right now, but we are starting to feel the effects. The image of a Polar Bear on a shrinking chunk of ice is very powerful. Think of that ice as sea water rising around our ankles and we have an image of what is really happening to the planet. Acting to protect the Polar Bears is acting to save all of us. This is a good time to think about it.

Remember Earth Hour is coming and a number of other important days.

I hadn't even heard of some of these days.
