Justice for slain Police Dog

The man who killed Police Dog Quanto was convicted and gets jail time. It probably isn't enough, but it is still a conviction.

One good thing to come of this is a possible change in the law to protect working dogs. It doesn't bring Quanto back, but it does give future Police Dogs more protection.

Justice indeed. The sentence is not long enough but at least it has been passed, and he's banned from keeping animals for a long time.

It's a start. Of course the way they do things he will be out in no time.

I hope the ban on owning animal sticks.

At least they know they need to fix the laws protecting animals that serve, like police dogs. They did a proper service to honor a police horse that died in the line of duty, in Toronto. These are positive things, but it is still not enough and it doesn't bring Quanto back.
