It depends how much scarring there is for the liver. Cirrhosis is extensive scarring. Still I am trying to get rid of fatty liver disease by diet. That is what caused the cirrhosis. I will have an ultrasound in Feb. which may or may not tell me more. Because of the health insurances policy that is one test that is done a lot with cirrhosis. It doesn't always show up but may this time. Last time it did not but I had a ct scan for my lungs and they found the cirrhosis through that.
