Animal Myths you shouldn't believe

The book would be a fine Christmas gift.
I think we all grew up believing that Chameleons change colour because of their background or at least as camouflage. 
Their shape and the way they move is good camouflage. I have seem chameleons up close showing the colours of their moods. Females signal the males that they are fertile and ready to breed by their colour. They get blue markings. The male won't go near them if they are not showing the right colours. It certainly saves time and prevents misunderstandings.

I always wondered about the eating spiders in our sleep thing. Why would a spider be on our faces in the first place? 
I am glad my local spiders are all okay when I sleep.
