Two more killer whales dying
#1
The southern killer whale population on the  west coast is seriously endangered. They have lost babies and they have lost adults. This time there are two adults who are dying. Mostly they are starving to death because human activity has depleted the chinook salmon so much that the whales do not have enough food to stay healthy.

Steps are being taken to protect the whales and increase the salmon stocks. The question is whether this is enough and whether there is still time. For the two dying whales there is little hope. They are going into winter at two low a weight to survive.  Smiley19
